NASPA Undergraduate Fellow Program (NUFP)

Syracuse University's chapter of the NASPA Undergraduate Fellows Program (NUFP) is committed to the vision of increasing the presence of historically underrepresented populations employed in student affairs and higher education. NUFP at Syracuse University includes a unique curriculum that introduces students to the history, practice, and future of working in higher education, as well as opportunities for mentorship with professional staff in the Division of Enrollment and the Student Experience.

By mentoring students from traditionally underrepresented and historically disenfranchised populations, this semi-structured program diversifies and broadens the pipeline into the field of student affairs and higher education. Students and mentors apply as a pair. If accepted into the program, students are then known as Fellows and have opportunities for scholarships, on-campus mentorship, and professional development events.

To increase the number of historically disenfranchised and underrepresented professionals in student affairs and/or higher education, including but not limited to those of racial and ethnic-minority background; those having a disability; and those identifying as LGBTQ.
